The Hearoes Tour

Our role is not to replace VA care—but to support it.

Before we ever enter a VA system or community, we take time to listen and align. We work closely with Chiefs of Audiology, Public Affairs teams, and facility leadership to understand local priorities, staffing realities, wait times, referral workflows, and capacity. Together, we establish thoughtful, realistic protocols that respect clinical teams while ensuring veterans—especially those most at risk—are guided into appropriate care.

That philosophy is the foundation of the Hearoes Tour.

Launched in 2015, the Hearoes Tour is a nationwide mobile hearing health experience designed to break down barriers to care and extend the incredible work already happening within VA systems and communities. To date, we’ve served more than 33,000 individuals across 1,000+ free events, reaching veterans, families, and underserved populations in hundreds of communities nationwide.

Now, with expanded reach and a bold new vision, we’re taking the Hearoes Tour to the next level.

At each stop, we provide:

  • Free hearing screenings

  • On-site Care Team support to guide next steps

  • Connections to local and VA hearing care providers

  • Hearing technology demonstrations

  • A powerful hearing loss simulator and immersive education experiences

The Hearoes Tour isn’t just about screenings—it’s about building a bridge. We connect individuals in need with professional hearing care by fostering trust, strengthening relationships, and increasing access to timely, quality care.

Care Team Follow-Up

Following each screening event, our Care Team supports veterans through care navigation—helping them prepare for appointments, understand their options, and stay engaged through follow-up—so they arrive informed, empowered, and ready to partner with clinical teams.

For Partners

  • 200+ national events

A special thank you to Drs. Moenter-Rodriguez, Brumbaugh, Wyrwas, and Bell, along with VA Public Affairs teams, Facility Directors, and every VA employee who has partnered with us to extend hearing care—especially into rural and underserved VA communities.

We thank you.

And we invite you to join us as we transform lives—one stop at a time.
