Every quarter, we pause to reflect on what the Hearoes Tour is truly accomplishing across the country. With the leadership of our Hearoes Tour Manager, Jimmy Hamilton—a veteran with 22 years of service in the U.S. Army—our outreach and free services are more impactful now than ever.

Q4 was powerful. Wait until you see what’s coming in 2026!

Check out more photos of our NEW MOBILE HEARING HEALTH EXPERIENCE HERE:

For more than a decade, across VA clinics and community events nationwide, we continue reaching veterans—many in rural communities—who have lived with untreated hearing loss for years. They needed a guide to point them in the right direction.

Some had never spoken to an audiologist because they simply weren’t aware of which VA site to go to, or couldn’t “hear the prompts well enough”. Others had hearing aids in a drawer. Many had no idea what hearing benefits they were eligible for.

That is exactly why the Hearoes Tour exists. We are a conduit and partner of VA Audiology and VA clinics. Not only do we serve veterans, but we amplify the incredible work at the VA and their teams. From Chiefs of Audiology to the Facility Directors and their frontline employees…WE LOVE WORKING WITH THE VA.

ON A MISSION TO REACH ONE MILLION EARS

To date, we’ve:

  • given 34,115 FREE hearing screenings — 68,330 EARS

  • hosted 1100+ free hearing health events

  • partnered with 750+ organizations

WHY OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE VA MATTERS

• 80% of the veterans we serve live in rural communities with limited access to hearing professionals.

• 50% of those in all areas reported tinnitus/ringing of the ear

• Most commonly reported by veterans: “I felt stuck and didn’t know what to do.”

Why you need to do something about hearing loss and tinnitus:

Did you know that when left UNTREATED:

  • mild hearing loss makes you 2x more likely to develop dementia

  • moderate hearing loss makes you 3x more likely to develop dementia

  • severe-to-profound hearing loss makes you 5x more likely to develop dementia.

When you do something about hearing loss and gain access to sounds again, you are “putting gas in the tank” and giving your brain access to important stimulants required to keep it active.

If You Haven’t Gotten Help Yet since Your Hearing Screening:

If you’re reading this and you’ve been putting it off…

If you’ve thought:

“I’ll deal with it later.”

“It’s not that bad.”

“I don’t know where to start.”

Start here.

Submit a Care Team request today:

We review your hearing screening results and guide you step by step to the right VA and the great care at VA Audiology.

You do not have to figure this out alone.

Already Got Help? Please help us by taking this quick survey.

If you have ALREADY gotten help for your hearing loss — and appreciate our free services and charity — we need your voice.

Please take 2–3 minutes to complete our LexCare Team Survey: https://www.lexcarefoundation.org/lexcare-team-survey

Why this matters:

• Your responses help us identify barriers veterans and families are facing

• Your voice strengthens our data when working with VA leaders and policymakers

• Your input helps us secure funding to expand rural outreach

• Your experience shapes how we design future Hearoes Tour stops

The survey is not just feedback. It fuels our mission.

When you take the survey, you are helping us reach the next veteran who need our support.
